Sheer Velocity

Daily Draw: Tarot of the Secret Forest ~ Chariot

How can he stand upright with wings that big? Is that an enormous beetle carapace he is riding and is it alive or a shell? Is it upside down or right side up? Are those flies harnessed as pulling engines? With extra wings?

I'm reminded by this card of the cycle of mankind. We are born, we grub about, we finally get an idea, and begin using other creatures, usually in a manner which they were not intended. I hope his wings blow off from sheer velocity.

"The car has become the carapace, the protective and aggressive shell, of urban and suburban man." ~ Marshall McLuhan 1911-1980
